CEO and UK Group Board Member

Matt is one of the original founders of GB Clean Tech is and importantly has been involved within the renewable sector since 2012.

For more than a decade, Matt created and built many large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, and devoted time cultivating relationships with key asset owners, funders and equipment manufactures. 

These relationships ensured Matt was well placed to understand the wider renewables eco-system, including the vital need-case for recycling at “scale”, whilst supporting “Mineral Retention” here in the UK. 

The forming of these relationships will help propel the company to be one of Europe’s largest “Clean Tech” recycling assets, ready to process millions of tonnes of discontinued products, helping to encourage Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Energy systems, Digital and the Life Sciences of the future (UK-PLC), all whilst supporting the governments wider “Critical Minerals Strategy”.

Managing Director and UK Group Board Member

Ben is an accomplished Managing Director and co-founder with 25+ years of industry experience, successfully leading both large established teams and building high growth start-ups.

Recognised for a collaborative, consensus driven leadership style and an ability to unite teams, partners, and stakeholders behind a clear strategic direction.

Ben has a proven record of accomplishment in scaling businesses, delivering operational excellence, and driving commercial growth.

Known for strong governance, with strategic foresight to turn complex challenges into actionable, value generating opportunities.

He is passionate about building high performing teams, strengthening partnerships and shaping innovative, future focused organisations.

Finance Director and UK Group Board Member

Gavin is an experienced commercial CFO with a 25+ year history of developing finance operations into fully capable finance functions supporting high growth transformative businesses.

Extensive experience as CFO in a variety of UK centric and global small and medium enterprises and start-ups, varying structures from single company to more complex branch / subsidiary groups and varying ownership models from owner-managed to PE-backed businesses and large corporates across a variety of industries.

Gavin is highly adaptable to fast-changing conditions motivated by delivering sustainable change working with entrepreneurial businesses to achieve their strategic ambitions.

Gavin has maintained high levels of integrity with a strong commercial focus throughout his career qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 with the ICAEW, gaining further industry experience at KPMG and moving into his first FD role at a Rothschild Bank subsidiary.

Facilities Director and UK Group Board Member

Jon is a highly experienced Facilities Manager, he is passionate about creating safe, efficient  and well-maintained environments.

Jon has extensive experience in operations management, maintenance coordination, and team leadership, with a proven track record of problem-solving, clear communication, delivering high service standards.

Skilled at streamlining processes, coordinating complex operations, and ensuring facilities run smoothly, he thrives on enabling teams to work safely and efficiently while building strong relationships across all levels of an organisation.

Research Executive

A dedicated Research Executive with a strong ability of turning complex data into clear, actionable insight. Skilled in delivering high-quality analysis that supports strategic decision-making. Luca has the ability to distil large datasets into compelling narratives that drive commercial and operational outcomes.
