Great British Energy (GBE) has today launched a landmark initiative to strengthen the UK’s clean energy industry and secure long-term economic growth. The £1 billion Energy Engineered in the UK (EEUK) programme will mobilise public and private investment to unlock critical supply chains and create thousands of skilled jobs.

NESO have confirmed a new pipeline of deliverable, shovel-ready energy projects that will be prioritised for connection to the electricity networks, unlocking £40 billion in clean investment annually and driving progress towards the government’s Clean Power by 2030 target.

The strategy’s ambition is clear and measurable: 20% of the UK’s critical mineral demand should come from recycling by 2035.
